Eating tomatoes and soy together might be more effective in preventing prostate cancer, rather than eaten one by one. Prostate Cancer is the most dreaded scourge of the elderly man.
Prostate cancer is cancer that develops in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system. This occurs when prostate cells mutate and begin to grow out of control. Prostate cancer may cause pain, difficulty in urinating, erectile dysfunction and other symptoms.
Scientists from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Ohio State University conducted experiments on mice to test the ability of this combination. They’ve been manipulating the genes of mice in order to develop an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
They divided the mice into groups section. The first group fed tomato powder and soybean, the next group of rats fed tomato and soy, without any mixture.
The result, of this research has found that only 45 percent of the group of mice that consumed a combination of tomato and soy that develop prostate cancer. Whereas in rats only eating soy rats and mice by 66 percent who only eat tomatoes by 61 per cent.
That is, a person’s risk for prostate cancer can be lowered by eating soybeans or tomatoes. But even better if both these foods are in one dish.
