Stimulasi otak frekuensi tinggi juga mampu mengurangi keinginan untuk merokok dan menghentikan kecanduan rokok.

“Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pengendalian dari serangkaian keinginan. Penelitian tambahan akan diperlukan untuk menentukan nilai potensi pengulangan agar dpat diterapkan sebagai pengobatan untuk mengatasi kebiasaan merokok,” kata Dr John Krystal, editor Biological Psychiatry, sebagaimana diberitakan detikhealth.
